Ben is an older bay gelding. We were told he was 16 when we bought him a year ago, and he's 15h tall. Don't know his weight but he is thick. We don't know any of his breeding, he came to us as a grade gelding. He spent 30 days at http://www.k3horsemanship.com/ with Dirk Kunz last Nov. He is not a kids horse. He is very smart and will push around someone who doesn't know what they are doing. Ben is the top horse in our little herd of four. He's been taken to brandings, moved cattle in rough mountians, and been roped off of. He is a very thick boy and can pull a half grown heifer wherever you want to go. Ben neck reigns, doesn't spook, crosses water, leads out on trials, and will go all day. He goes barefoot, and has great hooves. Ben has been taken through the mountains, and ridden all over across the desert. He loads himself on a slant trailer, and will back off. I've never tried him in a straight load. I've never packed off him but my husband had plans of packing an elk out on him this fall. We've never shot off of him, but have fired guns in the pasture next to him. He's the smoothest ride on the property with a smooth ground eating trot, but with four horses and only three people riding, we just don't have enough to buy hay for all of them this winter. We've kept him utd on shots and worming and is due to be dewormed and west nile again next month. He is a very easy keeper, and will get Fat if left to pasture all day. We pull our horses off after about 6 hours a day. Will trade for good grass/alfalfa hay.Pls email me and when I know you are a legit interest in Ben, I will email you my phone number.
