    About
Liberty is an 11yr old 14.2 hand tall Black Tennessee Walking Horse Mare. She is a beauty, with a long wavy mane, stays black year around, and is built like a little tank. Liberty has to be one of the mellowest, gentlest and slowest gaited horses you can find! She has had one owner her whole life, and was raised riding with QH's, so all she has ever known was going at a slower pace. I have been trying to get Liberty for over a year, and unfortunately there was a divorce, so that's the only reason I was able to purchase her. She is dog, dog, dog gentle, and I would not think twice about putting a 2yr old on her back. Liberty neck reins perfectly, backs, and has a huge whoa button...you say whoa, and she'll stop and stand there forever and just enjoy the scenery! She walks at a slow pace, and gaits at a slow pace. If the other horses start gaiting faster, you can put her into the nicest little slow lope that will put a quarter horses lope to shame. Liberty has absolutely no desire to be a fast horse, and you are never going to get much excitement out of her. She is so mellow, it would take a bomb going off next to her, and even at that, she would probably just turn her head to see what the noise was!! She comes right up to you in the pasture, stands perfectly still for tacking up, doesn't move a hair when you mount, and will continue to stand there until you ask to move on. Liberty was the woman's baby, and she is just too sweet, and is used to tons of love and affection from people. They did tons of trail riding on her, and she has been hauled all over the place and ridden in every type of terrain, so crossing anything out there is nothing to her. She takes deep ditches and crossing trees and obstacles slowly and carefully. The girl that works for me did not realize that she forgot to tighten the saddle, and when she went to shift it, the saddle ended up right under Liberty's belly, and Tabi hit the ground...Liberty didn't even flinch, she just turned her head and looked down at her wondering what she was doing on down there...she's that mellow and un-flappable!! If you are 2yrs old to 102yrs old, there is nothing that Liberty could do to ever intimidate anyone! She is perfectly behaved with the vet and farrier, and could just care less about anything that you do with her. **Liberty has been seen by a vet and received a new Coggins, and is current on her vaccines and worming. **Shipping is available, at an additional cost.
