Surprise is Sorrel w/gold fleck and mixed flaxen in her main & tail!
Needs intermediate rider, still young and learning, but very willing and easy going on the trials!
Check out the video on trail where she jumped a huge culvert several times with slightest urging: http://youtu.be/QTbHgOwdBVg
RANCH HAS SOLD! MAKE ME A REASONABLE OFFER!!!
Surprise is in her second year of riding. Last year was all about introducing her to riding and to the trail (about 50mls), this year my Trainer Jodi has worked on her reigning, maneuvering techniques and collection both on and off the trail.
She's really progressing fast and very willing to learn. Her gait is very natural and smooth. She's got a lot of miles in her future and will grow bigger is my guess, 15hds now, may go to 15.1+ and gain another 100lbs by 6yrs.
Surprise would make a great working horse, but of course, she's bred for mountain terrain, endurance and pleasure.
The Gold Fleck in her coat is really evident in the summer months. She has all kinds of Flaxen HIGHLIGHTS in her mane, and her tail goes from deep rich dark sorrel all the way to flaxen (blonde)...looks like high dollar 2-color streak job I've had done.
I've sold several MFT's for $4K with a month training that hasn't had this much work put into them as far as all-around Horsing goes. Jodi is getting Collected Gait out of her, even though she's not really familiar with MFT, it won't take much to have her set like Concrete with the foundational work that's been established. The Video link above is on Youtube at week 1 w/Jodi. Another video w/Jodi teaching quick stops/turnbacks and starting to introduce sidepass at the following link:
