Sweet and Handsome Grade Paint Gelding. Goes English and Western. Bought this special guy as our first "kids" horse. Found out through trial and error that he was obviously abused in the past. Both of my girls learned to ride on this horse and when he's sweet...he's oh so sweet! I ride him in the arena and out on the trails all day long and never have an issue..but there is a fear "trigger" that causes him to bolt with beginners that we have not been able to figure out (possibly the bouncing on his back?) and now that my girls have moved on to showing we are not able to use him in our lesson program for beginners. I actually have a video of him doing this with one of my friends if you want to see exactly what he does. For someone who knows how to ride it really isn't that bad... He's not "spooky" or scared of things...just a fear of being beaten maybe? Love this horse and need him to go to someone who will understand and love him like we do. He has never bolted with anyone who knows how to ride...and his "top speed" is not that fast to begin with :-)...a one rein stop will shut him down...but newbies are too frightened to remember that! Great with farrier and loading/hauling and will stand tied all day. Has issues with bathing and blankets (fear factor again). If you have room in your heart and your barn for a horse that deserves to just be a spoiled horse...please let me know..I can e-mail you the video if you would like to see him in "action". Price is negotiable to perfect home!
