Hummer is a great older donkey. He can be put out with anything and doesn't bother them. He's currently a jack but will be gelded after the first hard frost. He's spent most of his life as a breeding jack, but don't let that scare you away. He's never study. He tolerates a lot from goats, in fact my buck will headbutt him and chew on his ears and Hummer does nothing about it. He's gentle enough to let little kids handle him. He'd be perfect for first time donkey owners. Not big enough to be a guardian animal but would be a perfect companion for a lone horse or donkey. Would also be perfect for a petting zoo, children's camp, or therapy animal. The reason I'm gelding and rehoming him is because I found a better jack to use for breeding. Two years ago Hummer did develop a tumor, that has been since removed, the vet said it was NOT cancer. This year he was attacked by a neighbor's dog so is not fond of dogs. He can go to a home with dogs as long as the dogs do not get in the pasture with him or will not bother him when he is being handled. He is registered and papers will be transferred. I do have a younger jack I'll be gelding that I can rehome with him or an older retired jennet. (The younger jack can NOT be put out with animals smaller than him.)
Email for more information on him or any other donkeys I have.
