5 year old (6 in mid Oct. this year) green broke Appendix mare. She has been broke in the hills, been on cattle, been roped off of and branded off of as a younger mare. She has been patterned on the barrels very lightly and this girl is very quick. With some time and an experienced rider this girl could make a decent barrel horse.
She has been turned out on pasture since about March of this year. She needed some weight when I got her early this year so after her teeth were done in February 2013 we ended up turning her out. She is now fat and healthy and has so much to offer that I would love to find a great loving home for her.
Need to be at least intermediate horse people. She has a couple little quirks just due to being green still. She has never bucked or blown up. She does need some time and a refresher course and some finishing out. She has a lot to offer and a lot of great potential to go any direction, roping, arena, trail, hills, barrel racing, 4h etc. She needs someone that is calm and easy going around horses and has a nice soft hand. She trots/lopes circles, neck reins (could use some consistency here), side passes, gives in the face nicely, will collect nicely in a circle when asked.
I have other horses that are going to need time and attention and due to my pregnancy I unfortunately am unable to give this mare the time she deserves.
She isn't registered but has been toothed for age in February 2013 by a local vet. Vet checks are welcome at your expense. Current on worming and vaccinations.
Asking $850.00 to ensure good home, but open to reasonable offers, special consideration for those currently active in 4-H. Please email with any questions or for a couple other photos. She is still currently on pasture but I invite anyone that would like to come and see her to set it up.
