Sixteenth Surprise "Eddie" is available for half-lease in the Litchfield area.
ONLY AVAILABLE FEB. - MAY of 2013.
Eddie is a super sweet twelve year old leopard Appaloosa gelding. Ridden primarily english. He has no vices, loves to be loved and enjoys being ridden consistently. Great with kids and has excellent ground manners.
He is located at a lesson barn in the Litchfield area that has an outdoor, indoor, jumps available, trainer on site, trails accessible from the stables, and quiet country roads (horse-safe) to cool out on after riding.
Eddie needs an intermediate rider. Not a push-button horse... makes you think! But he is a fun ride. He responds really well to positive training techniques and needs someone who understands how horses think. He's a smart boy! Loves to trail ride, goes out alone or with others. He was used, as part of owners summer job, as a lead for recreational trail rides... he performed excellently.
Ed is a good jumper, but hasn't been jumped in a while due to owners time. Occassionally shown in the jumpers over the years and he LOVED it!
He is up for half-lease due to to owners time restriction. Looking for someone who can ride mostly during the week and on weekends. Price set at $150, but negotiable to right person.
Really looking for someone who will have fun with him and foster him along in his riding.
OWNERS NOTE: Ed does have a mild case of ERU (equine recurrurent uveitis, or moon-blindness) in his left eye. It comes and goes, he is NOT currently blind in the eye. As far as I can tell, it has not affected his riding. However, I do believe he has a hard time adjusting from light to dark (and vice-versa).
