SUPER CUTE RIDE N DRIVE PINTO SHOW PONY: Jiminy Cricket is your child's next show pony or your driving pony! PRICE NEGOTIABLE to a good show home! Cute as a button and good with kids. 8 years old, 13.1 h, registered pinto gelding he is the right size that kids can ride him for years. This is a gem of a pony - don't let him pass you by! We ride him English & he is broke to drive too and would go western. Loves to drive on down the road. Desensitized to anything on the road as well as shows, trails & 4 kids w/ dog & all that goes along with that. Could go western with a little work. My girls have both shown him between the ages of 8 & 10. They both won classes in hand & walk/trot. He learns fast & is super smart! Walk/trot supreme! Always in the ribbons & won 2 high points this year and possibly a third at year end. We went to 4-H State Expo to watch and he would do very well there! Just worked this summer on cantering & picks up the correct lead every time just needs to be more consistent stepping into it from a walk. Learning quickly on how to do patterns. Backs, side passes and working on more trail moves as he is very maneuverable. My daughter showed him in driving for the first time this year & he was slow & steady & it was his first time in a ring driving too! Has been in the ring with a few horses & in lunch breaks with over 30 & nothing bothers him. Ridden indoor arenas & outdoor. No buck, rear or bolt. No bite, kick, chew, crib or paw. Always sound & kept barefoot. I can put all the girls little friends on him & he goes where he's told. Not barn sour! Stands still for braiding & all the show-prep. We have been very happy with how this little guy has acclimated to all the show stuff. He stands at the trailer without a fuss or the kids just sit on him by the ring. This pony has a TON of potential for open/4-H/ pinto breed shows, hunter jumper, pony club, driving shows or pairs driving or even games! Went in his first parade in hand with my daughter's cheer team -- he looked at everything but just walked down the street almost bored. He went to horse camp this year and was at Fair all week as a demonstration pony and he was calm and sooo good for my daughter and let little kids pet him all over. We school him in a French link snaffle, drive in a half check snaffle & show in a snaffle mouth kimberwicke. One fault that has surfaced this year is that he anticipates my daughters next move and starts to jiggy jog instead of walk so we are working on variety in training and relaxation. He does need to be lunged before you ride because this pony could trot all day long. Just starting to see his potential! STRONGLY PREFER A SHOW/4-H HOME! I have had a LOT of interest but looking for the right show home this pony has had a lot of training, is great at shows and will continue to improve & excel and win. WILL DISCOUNT TO THE RIGHT HOME. Works best for youth riders. I would say no one over 150 pounds he gets a little testy after two hours or more. Rider should have a year of experience or horse-savvy parents. He is still young so can be a little frisky when the weather cools but settles down quickly. When it's warm out -- no worries. He ties, loads, bathes, clips & is good for the vet & farrier. He loves to trail ride & prefers to be first but will follow as well. Crickett also has a funny & curious personality that makes us laugh. It breaks our hearts to sell him but we are relocating across the country & he has to find a new family to love. Cart & harness available -- new 4 years ago & in great condition $400 extra. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY - I am VERY VERY VERY BUSY with 4 kids, moving & horses - thank you.
