This is Ruby Rain (D.O.B. 1999), a certified and double registered RMHA and KMSHA well trained mare. We believe she is an apricot red dun, even though her registration labels her as a chestnut. She has exceptional genetics to produce color. She stands 14.3 and is a big boned mare, great husband horse. She is by Wilson's Kentucky Rain and out of Hope Spring's Q-T Pie. She is a granddaughter of Blue Rain and Chocolate Venture. Ruby is a "been there done that" kind of gal. She had impeccable ground manners; stands and lifts her feet for the farrier, stands quietly while tied, is easy to catch in the field, takes wormer and vaccinations easily, stands to be tacked either western or English. Children ride her bareback with a bitless bridle. She is up to date on all vaccinations, teeth floats, and trimming. She has great feet, goes shoeless. Crosses water, bridges, leads or follows - she can go on the trail for miles. We have even been chased by cows and jumped deer and turkey; she is unflappable on the trail. Is an alpha mare in my herd but was low man in her last. She loves attention and chases other horses away to get it. Would make a great single horse. Super easy keeper on pasture/ hay alone. Selling only to put more time into my younger horses. It is a shame to leave her standing in the pasture. She is offered for sale now at $4000.00. Video provided upon request. Picture posted soon.
