This mare may be small, but she has a big personality! Athena came to us an abused and shattered horse not having the trust and love for people. However, like many other horses in this breed, she has shown us that the Tennessee Walking Horse will never stop amazing us. In a years time she has become a different horse. Athena truly is a loving and affectionate girl, with a big, yet tender, heart. I have never seen a horse try so hard to make a difference for human beings that show her proper respect, communication, and most of all, unconditional love. She never stops trying. We have taken our time in rehabilitating this mare for a quiet trail horse and broodmare, and she has blossomed in every way! We also have had several foals from this mare and have not been disappointed!
Athena possesses a great personality that is growing more loving daily, a silky smooth gait under saddle, old time pedigree, and fantastic conformation! This mare has a powerhouse of a hind end that she passed to her foals. This mare definitely has drive! Despite her past, this mare has shown that she has the best of everything. What is better than a horse that respects, trusts, and loves you, after all the hardship endured, and is willing to try and give it her all to make you happy. This is why we are so excited to have this mare and the babies she produces!
Her pedigree is made up of Midnight Sun, Old Glory's Big Man, Go Boy's Shadow, Merry Go Boy, Ebony Masterpiece, and a direct line to Roan Allen F-38.
Athena is double registered with the TWHBEA#978899 and the PSHR#09-385. She has also been color genetically tested. Results being ee/AA/nT. Athena will never produce a black based foal.
