Stunning red and white gelding
Rescued, with sores, starving, and listless. After lots of vet visits and hours into months, you can see he has not scared and is strong and healthy. I believe he was whip broke, but this 70 year old fat think have riden him sucessfully. He had no clue of whoe or neck reining. I called in a professional friend three or four times, and his quiet voice and firm hands has his whoe down pat, and coming close to neck reining. Months of 100 degree temps have had to stop the training, and Dakota has been little handled since. I put my 4 year old great grandson on him while I led, and he was great. Not so great with my very inexperienced grandson. Dakota was fine when I let him follow me, but whem Justin tried to turn him away from me recieved three very half-hearted crowhops, not enough for anyone to be tossed, but letting us know how he felt about it. You can trust this horse once he trusts you, and will get a great ride. Best for trail probably, but with a kid, he's quite athletic and could learn gymkhana as well as halter and western horsemanship. Quite likely he could also go English if you prefer. Lounges, but is fearfil of whips and flags. Stands quiet for the farrier and easy to load. He's lonesome and needs attention, I think he'd be great for a patient teenager. Once he understands a command, he neve forgets or argues.
You ship..better yet, come to meet him. I pay and furnish coggins and vet check. Included is saddle, bridle, halter, lead, spare clip on reins, a large leather, wool covered nose halter to big for him, and a warm blanket, top quality., lso saddle blanket and pad.Price quoted doesn't nearly cover just the vet bills.
