Studded vintage (Hess&Hopkins?) parade saddle
old supple, sturdy, flashy saddle -I am offering this really beautiful studded parade saddle-It measures anywhere between 14.5 to 16" depending on how you measure it (the folks that sold it to me measured wrong saying it was a full 16"). It rides like about a 15" and that is why I am selling it as I need a 16 or 17". I am guessing it is a 40's or 50's saddle. I am guessing also that it is a Hess & Hopkins saddle. It is completely usable as is, although you may want to replace the strings if you will use for trail to tie things on it, and the lariat loop on the right side of the pommel is off now. I started to do some work on it and now need to sell for un-forseen reasons! The tooling is faded and there is crazing over many area of the saddle when you look close. The leather is completely supple though! I think it was a brown studded saddle that someone dyed black. And it appears they dyed the seat white. I think it is a semi tree, and as you can see it has a round skirt. I am willing to sell with the tapaderos or without. I also have a black studded decorative breast collar(see pics) which I will also sell with or separately. No, it is not $1, since I am open to entertain all offers, and a monetary amount was required, I put that in :). PLEASE MAKE ME YOUR BEST OFFER!!!!! Please tell me if you are offering with the taps or without (of course I will want more with the taps) and same on the collar.
Thx and happy trails!
