Buddy is an amazing, 17 year old Appaloosa Gelding. He is around 15.1 hands, and excels in showmanship, halter, western pleasure, western eq, english pleasure, english eq, dad potter, trail, dressage, he has been on NUMEROUS trail rides, including the beach! I can rope logs, and trees and drag them on this big boy. He has a VERY strong hip and could go for hours!! He is registered however we do not have, nor can we find his papers...long frustrating story.. When I first bought Buddy he was straight off of the Rodeo Circuit from being a former Queens horse and running pro barrels. I have taught him everything he knows. He is a very patient boy who KNOWS how to win! He is calm and collected in the show ring, but just recently I used him for Miss Salem Rodeo Queen 2010 tryouts, and he still has that speed on him. I have ran barrels on him a couple times, but he loves to please at any event!! He will live to his late thirties!! Don't let his age fool you!! He can have the spirit of a 5 year old at times. Did I mention that he does all of these events and activities to his full extent, being blind in one eye?? He went blind from a previous scratch that then fogged his eye. It is not moon blindness. His other eye is completely fine and is still the same ol' horse. He overcame his obstacle very well and this disability does not hold him back!! This horse is simply a blessing and does nothing but do his job!! He bumps into things but just bounces back. Nothing spooks him, the closest he will ever come to spooking is by looking at something. There is no jump or run in this boy. Any one can ride him!! His in not a runaway. If a child cannot get him to lope (because he tends to get lazy) he will just trot in circles :) He would make an amazing kids horse, all the way up to running gaming events!! He is not spooky and will take you the distance!!
