Smokey Joe is a beautiful fella! He has been trail ridden miles and has lots of show ring hours as well. He requires an intermediate rider as he has quite a motor, nothing that is intimidating for someone who has riding skills he simply would not communicate well with a beginner. He is a thrill to ride and has get-up-and-go all day long. He will relax and stand quietly when its time for a break on the trail and stand proud when its time to ride off. He stands quietly in a group . He has good ground manners. . . On the trail he will lead or follow. He does not kick, bite, buck, rear...etc. he stands for the ferrier, bathes, clips and does all the polite things you want him to do.He leads and ties like a gentleman and will camp on a picket lline.He is also a gentleman in the pasture and is not an agressor!!! he simply wants to get along.
