Sassy is a special filly with so much potential. She belongs to my 12 year old son, so all training has been done with a inexperienced rider in mind. She has a quick mind, quick feet, is eager to please, is calm, and soft. She loads like a pro, loves to get wormed, doesn't mind shots and gets along well with other horses. She has has a lot of desensitization training. I will not lie and say she has never bucked, because she has, but usually if worked on the ground first, she does fine. She is not bombproof yet, but if someone continued to work with her on a regular basis she could be. I just started her with a bit this month, she is doing quite well with it. Most of her rides have been in a round pen, although she recently has had two rides in the pasture and did fantastic even with a ton of distractions. She is a bred cutting horse and although I have never put her on cows, I have seen her natural athletic abilities in the pasture with the other horses. This girl has all the right moves. It was a tough decision to sell her, but I do not have the time to put in to her to complete her training. My son needs a horse he can ride whether I can be with him or not, and although she is on her way to being that horse, she just isn't there yet. I would really like to see her go to someone who is looking for a nice little cutting horse, who has time to really work with her and bring her to her full potential.
