Chistoso WC was bred by Suzy Fisher at Walnut Creek Andalusians in Kansas. He will be 5 this year. His sire, Rico MHF, is a true black and has excelled at Reining, Western Pleasure, & Working Cattle. Chistoso's dam was imported from Spain as a brood mare. She has produced several other champions. Chi was tested for colors by UC Davis and has only Black & Bay genes with a predominate dorsal stripe. (EE, Aa) This wonderful young PRE stallion has been a delight to raise. He is inquisitive and curious, learns new tasks quickly, and is really 'settled' in the public setting. At his first horse shows he was quiet, calm, and mistaken for a gelding! But when it was time to perform he was all work, no play, and he out performed many horses twice his age!!! In 2010 he was the National Champion in Pleasure Driving, Pleasure Carriage Driving, Reinsmanship, & Competative Cones Course. He was Reserve National Champion 3 year old Stallion at halter. He scored a 67% at his first American Driving Society Dressage Trail in PRELIMINARY level.....he progressed so quickly that summer we skipped Training level!!! He is truly talented in the carriage. He was started under saddle last winter and never bucked, just walked off, trotted and loped his first ride. Brilliant! Stud fee is low due to this being his second year standing. He will be collected at Shady Creek Ranch, OK under the direction of Dave Beaty. All shipments will be thoroughly tested for viability prior to shipping overnight to your vet. For all breedings booked by March 1, 2012 the Stud fee is $500, booking fee of $250 additional which will cover your first collection AND shipping!!!! If you are local and want 'farm' service we can make arrangements for mare care and insemination with Shady Creek, booking fee will then be only $100 to cover first collection.
