I live about 17 miles south of Elkins WV, but I travel every where and I own Heckler Farrier Services and I can provide you with recommendations if needed. I do a variety of work from barefoot trims to corrective shoeing, hot or cold, and medical/therapeutic shoeing as well. My knowledge, like most of the farriers in the area is handed down, but what makes my services so different is the diploma I have to show for it. Not only have I learned from seasoned professionals, but I have also completed the Farrier Course at Colorado School of Trades. I care about the well being of my clients' horses and with that said I do refer to our local veterinarian for questions or concerns that you may have that I cannot answer.
