My first German saddle lasted 37 yrs, so far and tens of thousands of miles. Purchased this saddle 1 yr ago and now I am retiring from endurance due to hip replacements. Adjustable knee rolls and tree so will fit almost any horse. Brass hardware. Includes saddle cover. Works great for long thighs. Original owner.

Hi, Is this an AmericanFlex saddle, made in Germany, modelled after OrthoFlex? (Cannot see the tag on the back of the cantle in the photos). Is the tree adjustable by the owner, or by a saddler? I am trying to fit a little, extremely short-and-flat-backed, mutton-withered 4 year old, and her 12 year old half-sister. The (22")panels on both my Orthoflex & AmericanFLex are too long for these mares. The only saddler capable of dealing with English-style saddles in these parts is 100 miles away ( I am in Land O' rednecks, QH's, and guns ;) DO uou have any other endurance gear/ tack for sale Thanks!

No this is a German Sommer saddle. The company is very helpful. A saddler has to put it on a machine but the machine is portable - maybe they could meet you and your horse 1/2 way. They came to my house which was 1 1/2 hrs one way and charged me only $75. The underside is very short and fits a short backed horse well. I think it measures 19". I have a pic holding a tape measure. I will lower the price to $300 to help cover your gas to get it adjusted. I don't think the mutton withers will be a problem. What other gear are you needing. I've sold most of it. I have a heart monitor, a fleece rump rug, a collasible bucket, etc.
