Kieta is a gorgeous deep bay QuarterHorse x Mare, she stands approx 14.1 hh and is about 10 years old. This girl loves to show off in the pasture and gets along well with others. Kieta goes barefoot and is very good for the farrier and vet, loading, tying, leading etc. Keita does have a history of neglect and can sometimes be hard to catch in the field as she doesn't want to taken away from her friends and lush grass! But who can blame her - if you take a treat or a little grain, she comes up easy. For someone who has a little horse knowledge she is respectable and has good manners on the ground however...since she's very smart she can tell a beginner and will quickly try to get by with things and can become a bit pushy on the ground so would be best suited with an intermediate + horseperson. At this time Kieta is being adopted as a companion only, if you put any weight (a saddle or a rider) on her back she gets very sore). If not ridden she is very comfortable and doesn't require any care. There is a possibilty that Keita could be ridden in the future (has a past as a trail horse), but she would need some equine chiropractic sessions first to help fix her back and given time to rehab before that possibitily is seen. She is an easy keeper and UTD on vaccines, coggins, farrier and deworming!
