This is a nice strong gelding that I bought as a weanling and I hate to part with. But I just have not had enough time to ride him, so he has had a pretty cushy life so far. He goes good in an arena, but will still spook at things out on the trail, so should be ridden by someone with some experience. He just hasn't been out on the trails enough but he has been out several times crossing creeks and hill climbing. Side passes to you for mounting if you are standing on a rock or mounting block. Not a halter puller. Has not been around traffic nor city much, country boy. More or less needs more wet saddle blankets and trail experiences. Loads, clips, good with hoof trims, just needs someone with more time to ride him then I. He was originally started out with a combination of Parelli 7 games, and Johnny Lyons type of training. He is an easy keeper, so could use a few weeks of controled feeding to get him back in shape. He has height to his withers, but is heavy boned in the shoulder blades, so buyer will need to use a saddle with extra width. He is a strong gelding and can carry a big man with ease. Good legs and hooves, no quarter cracks. No blemishes, summer pastured with ranch barb wire. Very nice tail carriage, he looks like the Black Stallion when he runs and really flags his tail high and proud. Several of his close relatives have done well in cutting and endurance. Vaccinated for 2011 Rabies, WN, E/W SS, and Tetanus. May consider offers to good home.
