My Winnie is my little boy, he adores attention, but like any other horse, don't let him push you around with thoughts of treats, he will come running to you because he loves grooming , grazing and riding with you, no need for that treat that makes them pushy... my entire life, I'm 43, i have never liked one pony i met and i was riding since i was 3. till winnie.... he loves to learn and work hard for you.. he can be, like any horse, pushy IF YOU let him and don't put a stop on it immediately , smart horses will test you from time to time to see who the alpha is, after you put that stop on it the respect is there immediatly, every time...no need for cross ties, EVER..., We have cross ties but we choose to teach all our horses not to have to be on them and to never move anyhow...they stand till we say walk or back etc.. its nice since there not always an option..... my daughter does it all on him, she rides standing in the saddle, jumps, taught him to step up on the high steps on the step stools and get on him while he's standing high, HE LOVES THE BARREL PATTERN, he does better than her horse. you can slide off his butt. the only thing is my daughter wasn't the gentlest on his mouth so he's a little hard in it but that can be fixed rather easy with a patient child. i think he would learn to love ANY child but a child who is tuff, experienced , enough to make the horse know who's in charge from time to time, which should be the case with ANY rider, you have to be top of there pecking order to get that respect from them and a horse doesn't want to be around anyone who isn't a leader anyway... with an adult he would be an excellent pony for riding lessons as well, teaching on him would be a great opportunity.. we lived at the kettle moraine trails so he is trail safe.. he has always shy'd at silly things here and there like a mail box. not jolty, just walks a little further around it. when he's with others he's less ap to do it.. he's fine with traffic , road safe, motorcycle safe, semi safe, he halls perfect in a horse trailer. frankly i have no idea how i am going to sell him. i feel like he's my little boy.. he runs to me and hides behind me and follows me even more than my own horse, considering he is supposed to be my daughters. i put him up here years ago and had so many calls and interests but i could never do it. this time its for his own good. my daughter is now 17 and as tiny as she is she can still ride him she prefers to ride her full size horse now and he could use that little girl or boy that can't wait to go see there PONY.... i want a good home only, i would like the opportunity to know where he is going and to whom and if you decide it doesn't work out i'd like the opportunity to buy I'm back or help find another home. he has NEVER had any health issues or hoof issues or teeth issues. though he is due for this years shots and needs his teeth floated. every year everything has always been up to date including coggins , again except for this year. things are real tight for me right now, i had to take care of a mother with dementia and it takes up a lot of my money and a lot of the time i used to use on my animals and its not fare to them. if you have any questions please feel free to ask...PLease leave me a text or email and i will get back to you ASAP..... only serious lifetime adopters please!!!! i would keep him forever if i thought he'd be happy with no-one to ride with him but i don't think he'd be happy as a dog. God Bless
