Ruby is a lovely, gentle mare who moves like a ballerina. You should see her side step! She is also exceptionally brave and calm as can be, on the trail or anywhere else. Ruby’s has perfect proportions, which make her appear taller than she actually is. Trained with Natural Horsemanship techniques, she learns new skills quickly, is fine with English or Western tack, and is very responsive to her rider's voice and body cues. Ruby is affectionate and kind, loves going out on the trail alone or with others, and is really taking to jumping.
Ruby has excellent Crabbet* bloodlines and it shows. When she was 2 years old, we took her to a horse exhibition to teach people about Crabbet Arabians. This was her first trip off the farm, and she loaded right up onto the trailer. During our demonstration Ruby didn't bat an eye when we dressed her up in a grass skirt, lei, hat, and sunglasses; put a coconut monkey on her back; and tapped her all over with a 3-foot long inflated banana. -- all props and activities she had never experienced before. The crowd couldn't believe it! See our website for a photo of Hawaiian Ruby.
This is an exceptional horse who will definitely take very good care of her rider.
