Pinto Paso Mare
This beautiful four year old has great bloodlines and is extremely well-mannered on the ground. Current Coggins, shots, deworming, and feet done last week by my farrier (she was great for him.) Ties, bathes, stands for grooming, and is quiet to saddle up. Although she has been ridden some prior to my purchase a few weeks ago, (there are a couple Youtube clips showing her under saddle) she is NOT a trained riding horse. I purchased her from a distance as my new trail horse, but she is far from that. Unlike the person I purchased her from, I will be completely honest. It appears she was started under saddle last year as a three year old, then just let sit for a year. She allows a rider to mount, but rears when asked in any way to go forward. Back, feet, saddle fit, all are perfect per expert (farrier, vet, chiro) evaluations. I can't find a bit she accepts, so I have not been using one. Not a fluke, she has done this each time mounted since I got her. Trainer opinions range from "Simply not trained" to "Spoiled brat who doesn't want to work". I don't care to spend the time and effort to train her myself, nor do I want to spend more money on a professional trainer for six months. I am offering this mare at less than one-third what I paid for her just this past month, and I am not even considering the cost of having her shipped here. I would love to have her gone by this next week. With some real training she could be a good trail horse or even a pleasure show horse. She would make a great pasture pal due to her sweet nature on the ground, or a broodmare if you want to raise reg. stock. Drop me an e-mail if interested, serious inquiries only. NO hate mail from previous owner, trainer, or friends, please.
