    About

Lite was started late in life, so don't let his age (11) fool you. Sound (barefoot), sane, sweet, great work ethic and is the type of horse just about anyone can take a lesson on. He's spunky for more advanced riders and mellow with youths or timid beginners. He is also the kind of guy who can sit for 2 months and ride like he's been worked everyday.

Most of his training has been in western ranch horse type work. He's naturally a bit too forward in his gaits to be a western pleasure contender.

I've also done a ton of dressage with him. It seems to be what he loves. He has nice lateral movements and good self carriage. I always foresaw him getting into lower level eventing though I've only done minimal X rails with him and quite a bit of ground pole grids with him.

Can be looky out on trails. For whatever reason he starts off a little hot on trails then settles into them as he burns off his energy. He is only like that on trails. Is VERY road safe.

I've hauled him to and competed in a few local shows. Also have taken him to few other facilities to school the grounds. He is still a green guy with new places and needs a confident rider to show him the way.

Bathes, clips, hauls, no vices or other issues.
His owner is open to offers as he has too many. This horse is a very good boy and would love all the attention in the world from his very own person. He loves to be right in your pocket and is quite a ham. Can't say enough good about Lite!

Pic is with my mom riding him. She's a begin again, beginner rider.
