Perfect for ranch horse
Dakota is approximately 15 yrs old, he is 16 hands+ about 1100 lbs unregistered, would be great for a larger person. I have had 3 surgeries on my leg in a year so, I am in need of a little slower horse,
Dakota can go forever, he will go for hours and hours. He neck reins extremely well, and right now is a bit barn sour from me not being able to ride him.
I have just started back on him, and he is just as good as before minus the barn sour. Kids have road him lots, but not for a beginner child. He tucks his head like a dressage horse. Would work for his food easily at a ranch.
I am also willing to consider a trade for another horse that has a little less get up and go due to my leg.
If I cant find a buyer I will keep him for sure, cause he is simply amazing.
He is the lead gelding in our small herd, and becomes the leader quickly but does not injure others. Currently has shoes on. Has been to the mountains and does amazing. Does not kick and has only bucked one time, that was in an English saddle with little padding, someone tripped next to him and a train honked right next to him at the same time, think it may have been a combination of all the above. Lives near train tracks, and dogs, as well as a bridge that traffic goes by continuously. Loads into a trailer without any help, or ramp.
He is solid, a lot of gray on his butt from his roan, almost an appy.
The disciplines are things I believe he would be capable of, not things he has competed in.
Call with any questions,
