This is a 17" seat with a regular tree. It has 4 iron bars with suede leather stirrup pads for the bars. They close with velcro on the under side. They are insereted with foam for foot comfort, and the solid leather underside has a ridge that fits into a slot in the sitrrup, so the pad does not rotate with foot pressure. It also comes with four-inch fender, common to Australian stock saddles in the US. It works like a mini Western fender, but hangs off the stirrup suspension bar. . It shows very little wear. This saddle was designed for extra long hours. A favorite with Police Departments and private mounted units. The Patrol Poley was developed by Autstralian Stock Saddle Co. working with Alpha Omega Services in Texas. The saddle tree covers a great area of the horse's back -- resulting in a lower pounds-per-square inch pressure for the horse!
Saddle's weight is at 23+lbs, has a 4" dip in a web-strung seat and has a wood/steel tree. It is the hornless version. I do not have a horse that this fits any longer and can be put to great use!
It is a 7" gullet. With a Wintec ProStock Saddle Easy Change Gullet Measurement tool it measures: Medium/Wide: 23.8 cm or 9.4 inches. It fit my Morab. (She was slightly chubby) It would probably fit a Morgan, Larger Arab or smaller Quarter Horse.
