Sugar is a blast to ride. She is safe for an advanced beginner rider (I say that because she has some "go" when asked) and still lots of fun for an experienced rider. She gaits beautifully and has an AWESOME canter. She is a good trail horse, she neck-reins, she will cross water and logs etc... She has not been ridden much this year, but she is one that you can get on after not riding for 3 months and trust to take care of you. On top of all that she is a beautiful dapple palomino! Sugar is 15 years young and stands about 15 hands high. She is built like a Quarter Horse, and although her papers were lost by her previous owner...she is a MFT and does have a very NICE foxtrot!!! Her only downfall is that she will founder on fresh spring grass, but a grazing muzzle or limited exposure is all that is needed to prevent re-occurrence. She is 100% sound now! She has been kept UTD on everything including shoes.
Here is a link to me riding her last spring, she hadn't been ridden all winter and I just grabbed her and started riding. She is foxtrotting on our first pass and then you can see her canter on the second pass.
