Offered for sale is a really nice grey Thoroughbred mare with great conformation and a super sweet laid-back, very tolerant personality. Pismo is a LARGE MARE 16.3 hh when measured today, who has substance and size to give her foals in spades and so she is therefore an EXCELLENT cross to any breeding endeavor that requires athletic large horses. for example :

Thoroughbred race horses (goes without saying)
Americal Warmblood (you could get your foals fully registered)
Quarter horses / Thoroughbred cross for the Apendex Quarter horse
Almost ALL of the European Warmblood Registries will accept fine TB mares into their books such as KWPN, Holstein, Hanoverian, RPSI , Oldenburg , to produce top quality sport athletes for jumping, eventing or dressage are endless with this mare. These TB mares help to refine the sometimes too heavy European Warm bloods and are generally welcomed into the registries with open arms.
Pizmo is a really sweet horse with clean conformationally correct legs and a NICE racing pedigree. She never ran herself unfortunately due to an injury when she was a 3 month old filly. She is pasture sound and has never been ridden do to this injury to her knee as a baby foal. She seems to be totally fine on her right foreleg knee but in managing her it’s always something I’m aware of ;)
She is completely pasture sound and sound to carry the foal but I would not recommend her as a riding horse at this time. You could have your vet do some xrays and reevaluate but for now I’d say buy her only for a brood mare and family pet. She has produced many nice foals and has taken good care of them all.
This big sweet mare is to an approved home only. The ONLY reason I’m selling her is that I can’t afford to feed all my horses and some need to find another loving home. I bought her to breed warmblood /TB cross babies and I’d love to do that but right now I have to be realistic and admit I just doing have the kind of money and time to do it at this time. I have full registry Jockey Club papers so all her foals can be registered.
