3 horses cut at Herndon park, police seek slasher of therapeutic horses
Fairfax Police say they are looking for whoever is responsible for slashing three horses in Herndon.
The horses, which are used in a non-profit therapeutic riding program, required medical attention, but the cuts do not appear to be life-threatening.
The horses were slashed sometime between Wednesday night and Thursday morning at Frying Pan Farm Park. Police say a donor has paid for the initial veterinary bills for the three horses, but the Spirit Equestrian program is accepting donations for further care.
