FOR SALE
Equispirit Two Horse with extended dressing room
$12,950

I purchased this trailer new in 2001 with all the extras, including a 7-foot dressing room. It is like brand new. Never had a horse inside it, nor been on the road except for being delivered. I purchased it to be able to evacuate in case of a hurricane. Due to allergies I am selling my horses, so am selling the trailer. This trailer if purchased this year (2013) would be $22,000, or more. So you get a almost like new trailer and save $9,000+. It has been stored some inside and some outside.

Basics:

Two horse tag a long
7 foot dressing room
10 foot stall length
3 foot 2 inches head room
6 foot 10 inches from butt to chest
7 foot 4" tall
Both sides full size escape doors
On head space wall/bulk head there are low mounted hooks to secure hay bales
Hanging hay bags each stall
Completely removable interior dividers for a fully open space, with one long bar for rear
Ten foot awning
All doors lock for a completely secure trailer
Weight distribution mounts
White and black, easy to match

Details:

2 Added footage to dressing room for a total 7 Foot dressing room
Carpet on Bulkhead wall
Two Bridle Hooks up high on each side of bulkhead window in dressing room (4),
Two Bridle hooks up high in Wedge nose (2)
Added two interior tie rings in dressing room bulkhead wall 6" from floor - one in middle and one in corner by saddle racks, to secure water
Three Saddle Racks
Load light with remote switch
Ten foot Scissors type Awning
30" Weight Distribution Brackets
Jack in center of tongue
Diamond Plate Gravel Guard on Nose
Diamond Plate Gravel Guard Full Length of Fenders
Cargo Hooks 3 spaced evenly on bulkhead wall in horse area 6" from floor to secure hay and cargo
Adjustable Butt and Breast Bars - Both stalls
Hamstar Turn Signals/Brake Lights on Fenders
Turn Signal, Brake Light (pari) - on back of trailer
Full Length Butt Bar
Group 24 Battery for Interior Lights in Addition to Standard
All wiring encased in molded accordion loom, and molded one piece electrical cord replaces standard
Empty weight is 3,182 pound.
Two axle is rated at 3,500 pound per axle so a total of 7,000 pounds carry weight.

Blemishes; There are three dents in the bottom rear panel. This happened when it was stored in the barn, and hay was thrown from top floor and bounced into the rear of the trailer. No paint damage, just shallow dents. Panels could easily be replaced if so inclined at a low cost.

I would like to add that I contacted the owners of Equispirit to get a used price range on my model trailer. The range was $10,000 to $13,000 depending on condition for a used trailer of my model. Because my trailer is not actually "used" in the true sense of the word, I am at the top of their suggested pricing. This is a "never used" trailer so will have NO wear on it at all. It is like a new trailer but the paper date on it will just be the build date.
I also got them to spec out my trailer model should someone wish to buy it new as of in 2013, and they told me it was $22,000. I did not make these prices up. It came from the manufacturer.

I have had two people so far tell me they contacted Equispirit and they were told they could get a brand new 2013 trailer for only $1,500 to $2,000 more then I am asking for my trailer. So I will address this now. You cannot get my trailer model for that price. The trailer they are quoting is a stock trailer. The stock trailer with Dressing Room base price is $11,800, with options somewhere around $5,000 to add on. But to use their $2,000 "more then my" price.......for $15,000 you can get a new stock trailer with a few options. This is however not their fully enclosed "top of the line" trailer model. If you want or are willing to accept a stock trailer you will have to keep looking, because mine is a better model then a stock trailer. In this case however if you get my trailer you will have gotten the best trailer at a better price. So consider this if you do call them and they pitch this.

My trailer's base price is $18,995, may as well say $19,000. Just off the base price you are still saving $6,000 with my trailer. With my options added it would be $22,000. That is a huge savings on a new trainer of this trailer quality, with the stock trailer not even being in the same category.

One thing you have to be careful of when owning and using a stock trailer is that you will always have to leave someone with your horses should you stop. People will and do mess with your horses and some are malicious. This is less likely to happen with a fully lockable enclosed trailer. Stock trailers were created for a specific reason, and those that want a good hauling trailer that will protect their horses usually do not choose a stock trailer if they know what they are doing. There are some decent hybrids out there, but in the end it is still a stock trailer and not as good a fully lockable, fully enclosed model as my trailer is, and as can be seen by their own listed base prices.

I am very interested in your trailer. Would you consider shipping it to Colorado?

Sure. I actually have a friend going that way soon and might can get it to you or maybe close to you, depending on where you are at. There are companies that will deliver trailers as such....we would just need to find one you trust, etc. Feel free to email privately and or send someone to view/inspect the trailer. You can see more pictures on my web site: http://kustomk9training.com/equispirit-horse-trailer Thank you for your inquiry, and let me know if I can help you further. Kim

I am interested in trailer but my husband has concerns because it has been sitting up and not used. Bearings, u-joints, tires, brake lines and systems, hinges, etc. Become deteriorated because they have not been used. It may all look great but those type of things go out very quickly when you start using them on a regular basis. There are things my husband would demand they I change out to make sure it's safe for regular use. Things are not made or meant to sit up and not use. After speaking with some local horse trailer experts we would be willing to give 8,000 cash but we could no go higher. This is as high as my husband is comfortable and told me to get a new one. We found a new one with everything yours has and some things updated just because of time such as LED lights and better brakes and tires for 17,000. So the 8k is all we could go. If not we understand and wish you well. Thanks for consideration. FYI what horses are you selling?

It is quite the opposite. I do not agree with your husband only because I have spoken to the manufacture and other trailer professionals. If it is not in use there is nothing to degrade the joints, and bearings. This is not like a vehicle. Horse trailers are made to use a lot or a little. If all it took was sitting for years to mess up a horse trailer then the manufactures would have to go back to the drawing board, cause horse people would demand it. But none the less you are still welcome to have it looked over, checked out, or change those things out. Even still it is a good deal for this trailer. I doubt very seriously if you found my trailer new for 17k, the manufacturer sells is for about 23k. The owner and founder of this company said my trailer as a "real" used trainer would sell from 10k to 13K, and because mine has never been used I opted for high end of his suggestion. I have been offered 10k several times and have turned it down. As always there is negotiations in selling things but someone is going to have to get closer to my price then 10k. I suggest you look for a real used one so you can switch out stuff and get a good deal at the same time. These trailers do not come up that often for sale for a reason. They are the best trailers you can buy. If you have done the research you know this, or if you have not you should. A lot of people shop with things in mind that have nothing to do with build and comfort for the horse. This company did that and beyond. I hear about people all the time get trailers that sound and look like good deals but ride and pull horrible for the driver and horse. You almost don't even know this trailer is behind you. Take some time to read what those that pull this trailer say about them as compared to others. This is why they cost more. This trailer is worth what I am asking but I am willing to help with getting new tires and with transportation, but sorry would not consider 8k. This trailer could sit another ten years and the joints and bearings would be fine, but the tires will have to go....that's all. I have one horse left and my horses are Peruvian Paso's. The Cadillac of smooth riding. I chose them due to a back injury many years ago after riding a lot of other gaited horses. At this moment I am trying to see how I do with one horse and my allergies. He is a special boy and I hope I do not have to sell him, and is why I do not feel like I have to dump this trailer for less then it is worth. Good luck with your 8k quest. There are many used trailers out there, and even some less expensive new ones, but if you want a equispirit model like mine, that is at least even well kept, you will have to go up on your bottom line some. Good luck to you. http://kustomk9training.com/equispirit-horse-trailer Also as a light prepper person it can always be used as a bug out vehicle for my horse, other stock, or me should I no longer have horses. This thing is amazing I could live in it. If your budget comes up some and you would like to check it out, let me know. Thank you for your inquiry. Kim

What size is the inside? Is this for a regular sized horse, up to 16 hands, or is the the XL version, or the XXL model? Would a draft horse be able to fit inside this trailer? Very interested, if it is an XXL or XL. Thanks!

it is a standard that will fit up to a 16.3 hand horse. It really is an extremely nice trailer so I am sorry it is not tall enough for your larger draft horses, but thank you for the inquiry. Kim kustomk9training.com
