And yes that is her natural main. Sassy is a 9 year old all around game horse she is Quarter/App/mustang and don’t let her size fool ya she can move. Since I have owned her I have consistently placed in every class, and qualified for champ show many times. Gaming on this horse is a blast and we almost never knock!!! She does run in a treeless saddle, a tie down, and a Chappy bit. She is speeding up a lot this year here are our current times from out first shows of the 2011 season… 12s in Polls, 8s in Key, 16s in Barrels (at Houck), low 6s in speed dash (at the Elk River Fair Grounds), as for Jumping 8 she runs high 17s. I get complements literally everywhere I go on this horse. Sassy has been used for cows numerous times team penning at High Circle V and she does enjoy it. I would suggest a more experienced rider for her. On occasion she will do a small rear but you can catch it before she ever does it and if she does you just need to remind her that you are the boss. She doesn’t mind traffic, motor cycles, or gun shots she is also pretty kid safe too I have ridden her loping bare back with my four year old little brother with me in the pasture. She fly sprays, loads, she will dance a little at the trailer if she is alone. Up to date coggins and wormer and we just had the Farrier out recently. (I have never had to shoe her she has pretty sturdy feet.) She has never had any injuries, and never coliced. I trail ride her to the lake all the time in the summer and she absolutely loves the water. She’s super calm on trail you can just drop the reins and let her walk and not have to worry. As for jumping I have never done any professionally but I have at home and she really loves it. Pleasure is great she drops her head and does all the slow work you want, she also does flying lead changes, and roll backs. I have never really done any showing in pleasure except at the Anoka County fair and they have some tough competition there. our placing in halter was 2nd and in Western Horsemanship I got 1st! In English Equitation we also got 1st. I would also like to add that we got a 4-H state trip for both pleasure and games last year and she did very well for herself for being away from home, and at the state fair grounds she was great. She is on no special diets she does get some grain in the summer with coat shine when we are riding every day and doing hard work. I have taken lessons on her from Val Vetoes up in Princeton In…English, gaming, halter and pleasure. Over all she is one heck of a horse, I would like to thank you for reading this and if you have any questions or want more pictures please Email purtlefam@izoom.net or.., anapurtle@izoom.net call or txt 763-331-4770 Thanks.
