Experienced in cross country carriage driving. Shown hunt seat and trail ridden. "Dolly" is very willing, forward moving, and drives beautifully. Her endurance abilities are phenomenal. My 13 year old(at the time) showed her hunt seat in 2011. They were competitive and always near the top of the class. He also showed her in halter and won grand champion mare 2 years in a row. She had a black colt in 2012. Dolly has a lot of time in training and is a remarkable horse.

Has the mare been professionally trained? Has she been driven down a public road where she experiences cars, dogs, children? Why are you selling her?
I have been away from my computer for a couple days and I just found your questions. Thanks for inquiring.
I do train harness horses professionally and I had Dolly driving as a two year old. She was driven extensively as a 5 and 6 year old. The majority of her driving time has been cross country, fields, woods with different terrains including pulling a heavy large wheeled cart through deep mud. I have always been amazed at her willingness and stamina. Even when I think she is tired , she picks up and gives some more. I occasionally drive her down the road. I have not had any trouble with ordinary traffic. But. I don' t remember having been passed by a large truck. I have always hooked Dolly alone. I tie her and when hooked I unsnap the lead, get into the cart and we back off and pivot in the intended direction.
She is agile and responsive, turns on a dime. I can take her through the trails in the woods at a pretty good speed and yet maneuver her around obstacles. She has the stamina or her dam (Lippit) and the elegance of her sire (Nocturn). No problem saddling her, never bucks and a smooth ride. Dolly has been trail ridden and in the show ring one season. reason for selling- My son has lost interest in her. I have other younger and green horses that need my attention. Time does not allow me to give her the attention she deserves. I will miss her. She is fun!!
