hi my name is ashley waddle and i am from kelso, washington. in august of 2012 we let a family with special needs children take both our oldest horses that spent the last 20 years with each other. i had gotten a younger horse and my aunt.. who owned the horses, picked up more hours at work so we felt bad that they were just out the pasture. this family agreed to take both of them so they wouldnt seperate them and we thought that was just great.. i was very hesitant since i have grown up with both and ive taken both to fair and numerous events. but mainly they were both just the bestest friends i could have. ultimately tho they were my aunts horses and i understand completely why she did it. we did make sure they were fully aware that if their health slid or they couldnt have them no more that we WANT them back. A month later we recieved a picture of a girl on our mare dallas and a note that said everything is going great. 2 days ago i found dallas on the eugene kill pen list.. her time was almost up. we were furious and my aunt paid for her to be saved and luckily a rescue shelter wanted to take her down there and thats where shes at now.. however our 25 year old blue roan appy Buddy is still missing.. he taught me everything and he is an absolute heart stealer and we want him back soooo bad.. weve done a lot of searching in the past few days and weve found out that the family we gave em to posted both on craigslist for free in october, not even a month after they sent us a text "everything is great" they wouldnt answer our calls but did write back once saying she gave them to a nice family in vancouver but she dont know their names and has no way of reaching them.. after more digging we found a phoney user on the auction horse website that lies about knowing the horses to talk their price up.. but the strange thing is the photo they put up is the one they sent my aunt on her phone with the lil note "everything is great".. i know there is probably not much you can do but im sure you know a lot of horse people and maybe you can help get the word out.. we dont know where he is and we believe this whole thing has been a scam.. were working with the Olympian news to get the story out and maybe you can forward this to some people.. thank you for your time and hopefully i didnt bother you.. we really just want him home!
