This prime farm land is also transition land as Lincoln County and Southern Nevada continues to grow and develop. The Coyote Springs project and Toquop Projects may be temporally on hold but that will not last for ever. The boomer migration is still coming to the sunny Southwest and not everyone wants to live in Las Vegas.

Te Colorado River Water Basin and Lake Mead are the main water supply to the City of Las Vegas. Scientists believe Lake Mead could be dry in the future.
