UPDATE: Starlit is currently on trial in NY, and not available to others at this time. Starlit is a very friendly, sweet, gentle, lovebug of a young mare that has been lightly started under saddle. She is easy to catch, lead, tie, groom, tack, blanket and bathe. She has 3 very lovely gaits, knows her leads with simple changes, and is soft, willing and fairly uncomplicated to ride on the flat. She is confident over ground poles, and has been started over fences, and willingly jumps what is presented to her. She is schooling around 2' at home, and was also very willing when introduced to Beginner Novice cross country jumps. She is a true pleasure to ride, she tries really hard to give what is asked of her, and I'm enjoying every ride, but since I have several horses to ride, and some youngsters I need to start, I'd like to see this extremely promising young mare go to someone who will enjoy and hopefully show her. She REALLY should be shown. At this time, she seems to be a perfect hunter or event prospect. She should be able to easily do 3' hunters, and since she is using herself correctly over the smaller stuff, with calm, forward power and energy to spare, she shows promise to be a 3'6" horse, if not higher. She has not been marish on her heat cycles, and I really can't find anything wrong with her. No vices. She's just green, but off to a good solid start, with a happy, willing and want-to-please attitude. And I almost forgot to mention that she's got correct conformation with really good hooves and goes barefoot. Her sire was an outstanding hunter, and her dam did well as a hunter and jumper.
