Lovely Liver Chestnut Drum Colt
Santana is a beautifully marked liver chestnut Drum Colt with a white tail and gray mane as well as a triple “cowlick” on his forehead. His kind eye and happy attitude have made him the favorite amongst all visitors at our farm. Santana is sired by Astro Boy, a registered tobiano Gypsy Vanner and out of our sporty built black Clydesdale mare Pepper of Diamond T. Both, sire and dam have a phenomenal pedigree with names including Clononeen Mull of Kintyre (aka Romeo) and Thistle Ridge Eaton Jon. Astro Boy has been shown successfully many times and passes his good mind and solid built on to his foals. We are proud to say that Santana is one of the smartest and most willing colts we have had in a long time. Halter and farrier training has been a breeze with this guy as he loves to take on new challenges and learn more. He bonds strongly with his handlers and is easy to catch and lead. Imprinted at birth, Santana has also been exposed to various “scary” things such as lawn mowers, gun shots, mail boxes, barn cats, earth mowing equipment, etc. We were building our new barn in the first 3 weeks of his life and he had a 100ft tall concrete pump truck next to his stall for an entire day and it never phased him. As you can see in the pictures, Santana is quite a show off and loves to please. With a chunkier built like his, you could make him a great cart horse who could win any class just with his looks. Because he is such a personable guy, he would be a fabulous addition to any family barn looking for that one-of-a-kind trail horse. We are expecting Santana to mature around 16HH and will continue his desensitizing training until sold. All our horses come fully vaccinated, dewormed and registered with the IDHA. Transport paperwork and coggins are included in his sale price and we offer payment plans and at-cost-boarding until the horse is paid in full. Check out our website to learn more about our farm, our vision and the horses we keep or have sold over the years. We stand behind all our animals and will be happy to show you our operation and equine family. None of our pictures have been graphically enhanced, what you see is what you get. Likewise, all our brood mares as well as the stallions we breed to have been hand selected to create a well built and willing foal with a champion pedigree. Because our horses are our business card, we take pride in the strong relationships we have forged with previous customers while watching our foals grow and succeed in their new homes across the United States. We believe that owning a horse is a long-term commitment- so we are here to help you find your perfect equine partner for life. Because of our busy schedules, questions via email work best but we will return phone calls as soon as possible.
