Rio is a papered Leopard gelding. He is very flashy and will get you both noticed! Born 5-28-2002. Broke to ride, very nice gates. Has new shoes on him. Leads, loads, ties, easy catch, stands for farrier. Not for beginners. He is microchipped and is out of great lines. His sire is Reams Ima Mister Too, his sires sire is Docs Tough Dude who is a two time international grand champion, his sires dam is Reams Miss Flip Off. Rios dam is Miss Gold Plaudit, his dams dam is Miss Black Gold and his dams sire is Tons of Jack. Rios great grandsire is Gold Prince who is in the Hall of fame, Also has Prince Plaudit in his pedigree who is also in the Hall Of Fame. Rio comes with a folder of his pedigree, a copy of his dams pedigree and a copy of his sires pedigree. Also have a picture of Gold Prince, Joker B, pictures of Rio as a two year old under training and as a yearling. Had 90 days of professional training the summer of 2004. I bought him last year. He had just been a pasture pet for years and seemed to have forgotton all his riding training but the week I brought him home I hopped on him and took him on a short trail ride. He wasnt really sure what to do and refused to go past a trot until he knew exactly what I was asking him. He never bucked once and relearned fast, within two week he was going like a pro. He is not lazy or stubborn at all and when asked will walk, trot, canter, or if asked flat out run. He is about 14.1 and stands slightly taller then the POA limit but we were told if we take his shoes off we could most likely shrink him down enough for showing. He is a great trail horse, loves doing barrels, seems to have fun chasing cattle with his buddy Sunny and is great on halter. He is the perfect all around horse and can do it all and get it done. Ive never had him in a fun show but if I still have him this spring I am putting him in the first one open because I have an idea he will rule at it lol. He has been ridden on trail rides at the river, along highways, through the quieter part of town, across bridges, swam him in lakes and rivers, etc. Will ride alone or with other horses. I can not fault this horse and I would love to keep him! He just needs a few more wet saddle blankets and hell be anybodys dream horse. If he dont sell I really dont care, ive had him for a year. He is a big peoples horse and is the first one to the gate. He loves attention and being loved on. Will only sell to a great home where he will get the time and the lovins that this guy deserves. Call 573-729-6804. $2000 firm.
