Nocturnal Flame, 'Nick' has a wonderful disposition--very sweet and my favorite horse here.
I will upload photos of him driving as soon as the weather at 9000' cooperates.
He is very well balanced and a naturally collected gelding with super-super comfortable gaits one can sit too. He was started with ground driving, knows voice commands, leg aids (whip) and he is usually ridden with a Western or Australian saddle, but can go English easily.
He was professionally trained to drive by Bob Olson at Olson Horse and Carriage, in the Black Forest area of Colorado at 3 yrs. He pulls a Meadow Brook cart (2 wheels with seat opening for step in back entry for safety) which can be part of a package purchase deal and including, a well made-well cared for heavy leather harness. He has been driven at 9000' near my home on roads in the National Forest Trails for 5 years now. He is a smooth, stocky and well conformed fellow at 15'1 hands. He is very healthy, an easy keeper with good hooves--never foundered or coliced. I 'mustang' trim all my horses, so this is a testament to his healthy good hooves moving on granite with little soil and rocks. (No we don't run them over rocks--we walk letting our horses pick their way through the 'mine field').
Nick was shown in Denver at 2 yrs old in halter 'one time' to give him a little extra experience with all sounds. He has been handled since birth by myself--born here at my ranch. He is by AA Nocturne standing at Van Nostern Arabians, Parker, Colorado and out of Alcyone Fire, by Le Fire---another gorgeous testament to the 'perfect' Arabian mare.
His temperament is sound and was trained under saddle by myself. He will make a wonderful companion for the right person who has an eye for a sensible Arabian mind who bonds easily to a kind, knowledgeable owner. Obviously, this horse is capable of providing you with more than riding. If the new owner would like the harness and cart, the price will change from $5750 to $7500 for the whole package.
