13.1 H, 10 yr old quarter pony mare, selling as grade.
Black with star, western broke & broke to death. I don't think she will ever go english. Goes in a sidepull or bosal, auto changes, trail safe (anywhere in the group), road safe, night riding safe, ponies other horses, has done child lessons for me on a lunge line and some advanced lessons for smaller stature teens/adults. Carries adults without complaint. Easy keeper, great feet. UTD. Loads, ties, good babysitter/mommy substitute (although is maiden), blankets & fly sprays, dominant or second in command in the herd. Lives with geldings, mares, donkeys. We have free ranging poultry and pigs who go out on pasture too. Has been hauled to shows for leadline classes and she did wonderfully not that we expected anything less of her. Likes to follow you around in the field, but isn't in your pocket or in your way.
Nobody is 'perfect' this pony can be hard to catch after not being handled on a regular basis or if you want to just ride hard and put away wet all the time. She will also pull her feet from the farrier once in a while, but she's not terrible nor has she ever offered to kick. She picks up her feet just fine and you can teach hoof anatomy with lots of kids around, it's just when you want to hold the feet up the way a farrier does. Both of these habits seem to be fear based, from her 'previous life'. We have done tons of work with her, these habits just resurface once in a while and a buyer should be aware. She's really wonderful and has done tons of lessons for me, but we're moving and she's almost outgrown anyway. Good home a must, price is negotiable and delivery can be arranged.
