This saddle is all leather with brass hardware and purchased by me directly from Down Under Saddlery Company less than 2 months ago. It doesn't fit my haflinger, which is round like a barrel and mutton withered. I have ridden in it less than 10 times. The seat is 17" and the tree is a wide. If you are familiar with this companies saddles you know that means you can send it in and have it sized to fit your horse, for a fee. The girthing system on this saddle is english, it does not use the aussie overgirth, they advertise that it is built in.
The saddle flaps have a small bit of rubbing from the stirrups. When I realized it did this I purchased their merino wool stirrup covers. The saddle also comes with the leather Kimberley breast plate, their 20" neoprene girth, suede pads for the stirrups, and an Equipedic pad. As you can see, I bought it all! I paid about $1100 in total. I found this saddle to be extremely comfortable for the rider, no sore behind or knee pain. I really enjoyed it, I simply don't have the right type of horse for this saddle as she is just too wide causing the saddle to feel like it rocks. I put it on a friends horse to be sure it wasn't the saddle, fit fine with no rocking.
