Rocky is a very attention loving gelding and will walk up to you in the pasture. He is a beautiful, nicely conformed bay, 15.2, gorgeous head with expressive eyes and unraced.
He's been handled and under saddle since Nov 05 with pro Natural Horsemanship training, started dressage training last summer. In training now for hunter/jumper. Willing and has nice gaits. He's quiet, and good on trails. He crosses water and various trail obstacles and is reasonable with deer and turkeys. UTD on everything, shots, Coggins, worming, and recently shod. Cross ties and good with other horses in pasture. Completed first 25 mile limited endurance ride.
He has the potential to be a nice family or drssage/jumper prospect. More pics/video available. The following is a testimony from our dressage coach:
Hi Mary, Rocky would be at walk trot level. As I stated before he has fabulous potential, a very smart brain and wants to please ever so much. I have watched him move while you have ridden him and I was on him once briefly before the thunderstorm. I was able to get a half-pass out of him at the first try at a walk to the right and then to the left without effort. He went on the bit immediately. I was stunned at the response and willingness of this beautiful horse. He is elegant and regal in his movements. I, also, want him to find his ''forever home.'' In the correct dressage hands I believe he will be a fabulous dressage horse which will make him a good jumper as well. If your potential customer wants to speak to me, I will be happy to chat with them. You may forward this email to them if you wish. Please let them know I do not train in the saddle that much these days due to a lower back problem. However, if that lower back problem changes.... Rocky will be my first horse of choice for riding. He really is one sweet boy. Mary Dobrin |
