| Smokey is the smoothest gaited racking horse you could ask for. He is grey and white tobiano but in bright sunlight looks almost white. His dark eyes set him off. His gait is completely set and is solid and sure. His tail carriage and head set and foot action are wonderful. He looks like a carosel horse. He has been in confirmation and showmanship classes and gaited pleasure. He's been in the ring a lot, but I've ridden a lot of trail miles since I got him. He's suitable for intermediate adult riders because he is so quick to take his cues, and is very light in the mouth. He responds to the lightest cues. He backs, leg yields, loads, shoes, bathes easy to catch. He has Excellent ground manners. A joy to be around! Great companion horse, call him and he canters to you to see if a treat is available. Licks your hand like a puppy dog. He parks out as well. I have had hip replacement surgery on both hips and no longer can mount him. |
