Happy to give you more history on any of these horses. Would rather somebody know the full story and not buy the horse than not know every detail and say I was hiding something.
Chenoa- 3 year old small quarter horse. Right at 14.2 hands. Doubtful she will get taller but should continue to fill out. Green broke. (yes i know that is a very broad term) Has learned the basics of saddling, mounting, steering, stopping, trotting. Has experienced cantering but it is still new in the training. Doesn't show any inclination to bucking, bolting or rearing. (she bucked the first time we cinched the saddle up but that is a common reaction and hasn't tried it after the one time). She is a sweet learner and would be good for someone that wants some more training experience without being stuck with a rank mean spirited mount. She will not go to a beginner rider unless I have proof she will be trained further. She has the personality to be a great kids mount. 400obo
Scout- sister to chenoa 2 year old quarter pony. About 13.1 might grow another inch or two but will defiantly stay a pony. Has always been more timid so we have been working with her more slowly. It seems to take her a lot longer to trust with a new challenge, however seems to be more solid in a concept once the trust is built. Is halter broke, fine with being saddled, okay with mounting, have ponied her with a rider and handled it well. Just a timid girl and needs a patient trainer. Is more scared about people than objects. Had a snake bit a few months ago and the swelling has not gone away but hasn't been off on it a day. She will go to an experinced horseman as i think it would be to easy for her to be pushed to fast by inexperience. 300obo
Mini- dark brown mustang/qh pony. 5 years old. Around 13.2. We call her our mini Freisian with her long mane and feathered legs. Broke to ride walk trot canter, decent little mount. Can be a little hard mouthed if you ride with heavy hands. The harder you are on her, the harder she is on you. It's the mustang in her. Would be appropriate for most all experiences. Has enough to learn to have something to work with but knows enough for a less experienced rider to still feel confident. 600obo
We have several other horses from our ridding program that are up for adoption and range in age from 18 to 30. All are child safe and ready to have an easy life of pony rides and light lessons. All have been used in our handicapped ridding program and are as gentle as they get. None are lame or unridable (wtc) we do not use our horses here until they have a foot in the grave, we look for homes to retire them to BEFORE the fast pace of the ranch get to hard for them. 200 adoption fee but will be waived in certain situations. Please call if interested.
