Today 10/26/12 the vet gave me the bad news that my sweet boy has a signifigent heart murmur. I've cried for hours knowing just 2 years ago he was fine. I am a jumpers rider & unfortunately if I ever want to get another jumper I would need to place Legacy in a pleasure home. He has no lameness issues, but do to his heart should be walked & short distance trot & be allowed to walk again if getting out of breath. The same holds true with the canter short distance then walk again. I hope there is a big hearted individual out there willing to give my big baby a wonderful home. In the summer he needs to be able to be in away from the flies & a fan is recommended from the vet. He is use to going in & out of his stall & pasture at will. And likes to play around with his present pasture buddy (my little arabian). You can get away with just putting front shoes on. Legacy was a talented jumper/low level dressage horse. You can trot him over cross rails still & enjoy trail riding with him. Take a look at his video on youtube. To view his video type in- video by sm5475. It was 2 years ago, when he didn't have a heart murmur. You'll love his personality he loves being scratched, & will make funny faced while you itch him. He has great barn manners & at this point is still happy to be riden. I will give you his sheet & winter blanket. He's got WOW looks, & when you see him its hard to believe he's a teenager.
