Emory Oak Farm is an artist retreat and private equine training and breeding facility set on 14.86 acres specializing in Dressage and Jumping horses. The property is located in Silver City, New Mexico at 5900' in the foothills of the Gila Wilderness and is set up perfectly for the serious artist or competition rider or someone simply wanting a vacation retreat.

Emory Oak consists of an eco-green 2600+ sq ft hacienda style home, 638 sq ft artist studio, 520sq ft woodworking studio, two custom built barns, paddocks and a full size state of the art ring. The home and equine facility are truly unique with custom details throughout. The home is designed by Douglass Architects out of San Francisco, CA. The floor plan is open yet intimate and was inspired by southwest design. Earth plaster walls, large vigas, passive solar heating, beautiful gardens graced with native zeriscape planting, and an unbelievable 360' view gives you a sense of peace and solitude without sacrificing accessibility to interstate and urban areas.

The whole equine facility is designed around the comfort and safety of Emory Oak's warmblood horses and the safety and convenience of the competition rider and horse. The 6 stall barn was custom built by green builder Brian Myers of SunBear design+build. The 200' x300' split levelt ring has a 1% grade with a clay base and 2-3" crushed granite sand top layer. The emphasis to detail and quality of craftsmanship creates a first class living and working environment for both the horses as well as the people involved.
