Thunder is a great trail horse, he will cross water, logs, ditches, ponds, mud holes...whatever you come across on the trail he'll get you through it. He isn't spooky, we've came across wildlife and didn't bother him, rode him along the highway near traffic and was fine. He will ride alone or with a group, he will lead when in a group, be the tail horse, or will ride in the middle. He has also been used on a ranch, I think he'd be a good penning or sorting horse.
