If you are looking for an energetic, comical, and athletic horse, look no further. Meet Apache. She's 9 years old and 16 HH. Has been ridden both English and Western, she prefers Western and prefers ring work. She has been ridden on trails twice, and did fine, but does need a confident rider. She's had extensive groundwork training over the past year and learns anything you teach quickly. Has the most comfortable Western Pleasure Trot and lope you'll ever find. I'm selling ONLY because I am seeking a trail horse. Apache needs an advanced confident rider who can continue her training and fine tune her. She's a naturally forward horse and would be a PERFECT barrel racer, or Western show horse. She is also an absolute love, and has even been ridden by a developmentally challenged young lady. Finding a good match and happy forever home is my ONLY concern for her.

How is her w/t/c and lunging is no problem with us and could you try and get us a video of her under saddle? does she have any health issues?

Hi Michelle, her WTC is smooth. I will have to trailer her to a barn down the road that has an indoor arena, my barn does not and it's too icy to ride right now. Where are you located? You are also welcome to come and see her under saddle when I transport her also. No health issues. Very healthy mare. Really just slightly hard heat cycles especially in the spring but her vet says she will outgrow that. Up to date on everything. She does not have shoes, as she doesn't need them. Feet are trimmed every 8 weekly perfectly.

She wants a horse to work with and grow with. Do you have any videos? does hse have any badhabits? we are very interested in her

Hi Michelle and thanks for your inquiry. I only have one video of her, and it's of her "joining up" with me with just an electric fence between us. She was following me like a puppy. The only thing she does not like is lunging. Her former owner made her lunge sour. :-( she does however like groundwork. Her only bad habit is pawing while on cross ties when she's bored. I've been working on that habit with her, and in the past month she's started to paw, but thinks twice and then doesn't. It's cute. During heat cycles, she can be mareish... I do put her on natural raspberry leaves supplement (available at any natural food store for about $20) and it does seem to help. I'm happy to share the video with you if you'd like. :-) If you daughter has any interest in barrel racing, or hunter/jumper etc... that would be AWESOME for her! Apache does best when worked 2-5 times per week.
