Gorgeous guy tons of potential for eventing/jumpers
Better Late Then Never- is a 11 yr old, 16.3 hand, TB, chestnut, gelding. Never raced, and no papers that I know about or were passed down. I was told his sire is Unbridled. He was originally purchased out of Aiken, SC as a 3 year old for hunter and jumpers at an "A" show barn. He has had one owner until getting passed to me last august 2012. He is a gorgeous boy with talent and such a love bug, with EXCELLENT manners! Extremely quiet around the barn, and always a favorite. He is very athletic and likes being in a program, otherwise his body just gets unconditioned, forward, strong and he gets weak behind. Has been hunter paced (over 8 miles), and started showing Jumpers. He is best suited as a Jumper or event/trail/foxhunting horse as he does require an advanced type of rider, he's more forward to the jumps, can be strong when he's determined, tons of stamina, also covers A TON of ground!!! Decent mover, and jumps very well with tons of scope, schools 3' like its nothing, never looks, a lot of fun to ride and knows when its game time. The more he is ridden in a consistent routine the more progress you see out in this horse, from day 1 to day 30 of being ridden, you will see a completely different horse thats a blast to ride. He has no vices other then taking 5-10 min to load onto the trailer, has gotten much better and takes less time the more he's out and about....before it would take hours! He is sound, but he is a grade 4 roarer. He has been scoped twice and both have came back with same result, he is a good candidate for tie back surgery, but not something he truly needs. He handles his work loads with no problem and always has room to spare to keep trucking, he is not loud, but can sound heavier on dusty/pollen days as he does have some allergies. He is not medicated for his allergies, and doesn't require any meds, it is very slight and doesnt require any maintenance. He wears 4 shoes, no crib or weave, never has bucked, bolted, reared, or spooked. There is a ton of talent under the hood of this horse but he hasn't had the consistency over the years to show it or any thorough training. He was basically a lawn ordainment from the age 4-10 before I took him over, and now has been in back and forth work since spring, currently just sitting, he does need help backing off at the jumps. Lynus is UTD on all shots, coggins, dental, farrier and worming. MUST GO ASAP! Great home is a must and references. Offered for free lease or to good home at $400 obo with no auction/slaughter policy contract. He needs a job ASAP!
