Gorgeous Athletic Arabian Cross Endurance Gelding
"Limerick" is a stunning 7 yr old Half Arabian gelding. Solid body, good bone, standing 15.1 hands. Limerick has miles and miles of trail experience and has been on many over night camping trips. He recently competed in a 25 mile LD Ride at the Shaker Village in KY and did fantastic, placing 10th. 25 miles was not nearly enough of a challenge for him, the distance hardly fazed him and he was not a bit tired at the end. So, he's currently being conditioned for a 50 and will be competed until sold. I honestly believe, that this is a future 100 mile horse. He loves nothing more than going down the trail. Limerick's monstrous stride, just swallows up the ground. He is a powerhouse, competitive horse and is not suitable for a beginner. Very friendly guy that loves any and all attention that you give him. He'll follow me around the farm like a puppy, trying to help with the daily chores. Ties, loads, bathes, stands for the farrier. Great barefoot feet! Easy keeper, just out on pasture with grass and hay. Gets along with all the other horses, dogs, cats, chickens, its a zoo. I've ridden Limerick down busy roads with car's passing by, with no issue. Our local Walmart has a hitching post and he's happy to stand there and wait in the parking lot, when I run in the store. He'll go out alone or with a group and has never offered to kick out at another horse, even if they are up our rear end. On overnight trail riding trips, he does just fine in a temporary pen, stall or high tie. Good about water and mud, good with dogs on the trail and has played around with moving cows. This horse has a whole lot to offer the right person. I would love to see him go to a serious Endurance home or someone that will trail ride or show him frequently. He has too much potential to be just a weekend horse. Limerick is a registered half Arab, however I bought him without papers and do no have them in my possession, so he's is being sold without papers at this time. I was recently able to contact his previous owner/also breeder. She is willing to sell his papers for a small fee, if somebody wants them. Feel free to call, text or email me anytime with questions. Thanks
