Kloster Schonthal Husar

This is a 17� German-crafted close-contact Husar saddle made by Sattlerei beim Kloster Schonthal in the 1970’s just before they were bought out by Courbette Saddlery. The Kloster Schonthal saddles have a reputation of wearing like iron while still having that “sweet spot� in the seat, which I can attest to given the length of time I rode in it. Sadly, I no longer own a horse so have no practical use for it, although it graced my living room for the past few years. Aside from some minor scuffs, this saddle shows hardly any wear. Even the suede kneepads are barely worn. It has a lot of life left in it for someone who can appreciate the comfort, quality and longevity that a saddle like this has to offer. I am including 60� English-made leathers and 4-1/2� Japanese-made chrome-plated stirrups with rubber pads, all in very good condition. Shipping via UPS ground in the continental United States is also included.
